I have a 2005 E46 ZCP M3 that is also drive by wire that does not have the RPM surge problem. Does the Blitz throttle controller eliminate the RPM surge or lessen it? If the Blitz throttle controller eliminate the RPM surge problem, wouldn’t the problem lies within the drive by wire’s accelerator. I thought the Blitz throttle controller is available for the previous FIT generation, the GD FIT. Hmm...I have to convince my wife to let me spent $$$ for this upgrade.

The upgrade isn't that much expensive My friend got hers for like 300 bucks(and that was at a retail shop not looking for the best deal). I know every car is different but on her car I mean with it on S3 "race mode" if you will. When you hit push the throttle down you can hear it slap open almost like a pop and response puts a smile on the face so to say.

The 2000+ NSXs do this. The 2004+ TLs do this as well. But my 2001 S2000 does not, so it's very hard to get used to it... The latest Civic Si has the same condition. But in the Fit, I find it less noticeable.
