And, skunk2, kraftwerks/jackson racing, already all big in the Honda scene - had a no brainer in front of them.
Not so with the GE. I don't know specific timelines but the model was introduced in Japan not that far ahead of the U.S. Tuners there are still figuring it out. It's a new platform. Until we see a well established aftermarket support system from the Asian market, we won't see many companies stateside jump on the wagon.
Plus the GE may become just as popular as the GD is but it's new features, options, size, etc. are beginning to cater to demographics that are not shared by performance aftermarket companies (i.e. it's targeted at fuel use conscious commuters, families looking for an alternative to the minivan or midsized SUV, etc.) whereas the GD, while marketed as an economy fuel saver space maximizer type car, the tuner demographic was already WELL aware of it's off road/race capabilities. The GE doesn't have that pedigree yet. Sure Mugen and Spoon and J's grabbed them up and are working on them but like mentioned above nothing substantial has come up - YET.
I'm sure if kraftwerks doesn't manufacture a kit, expect to see some turbo setups in the coming years, once they can get around all he sophisticated electronics.

But, in the end - I'm all for the GE owners to get in on the fun. (but knowing boost is fun is hypothetical since I've yet to experience it)
GE new ECU is giving tuners the most headache. My cousin is the chief mechanic for Team Honda here in Indonesia and he is so far could not figure out why the car is VERY RICH on top end. GDs does not have this problem, he said and I have checked Hondata's forum to see if they are repsonding to GE owners only to find it has a policy of not talking about anything they are working on their own forum.

GE's L15A needs a reflash before any tuners can discover any horsepower. Greddy piggyback didn't help either.

Also, my cousin found out that GE is actually slower if your remove both catalyc converters but if you leave them alone then install a free flow muffler, it helped him to get better response on his person AT GE.

you guys at firna should have some stand alone ecu and stop playing with the stock ecu and getting them rechiped or piggy back lol..

aniway, the new GE has new technology .. look at that freakin cast manifold

"Slower when removing cat" is it proven on the dyno? and has it retune yet?
if you remove the cat you must have a retune on ur ecu ... or else it the car would just crap it self ...

1. Touring Car regulation disallow removal of stock ECU therefor stand alone ecu is out of the question.

2. I concured. However, just by light porting that freakin cast manifold the new L15A picks up a few more horsepower. I wonder how much that light porting in combination with the new GE8 turbo kit would do. Local distributor is throwing 180hp as the as is number but that's probably at the crank and without any dyno papers that number is being as close as BS. There is a taiwanese GE8 tuner who recently posted their turbo kit on chinese magazine which can be viewed here: WRETCH Photo Album - jdcars's Album and claimed that their kit is rated at 160hp. I wish I can read chinese to how far they have done with ECU etc.

3. I concured. I'll ask him when he comes back from his short vacation while working on my GD3.

4. I do not work for either firna or autodyne. I merely stated their presence on my signature because they had served me well in Indonesia prior to relocation to the United States for 9.5 years. Those shops are either owned or ran by my cousins. I merely stated on what I have seen with their on board diagnostic results and the input from the driver because I was there when they talked about it.

Pwaaah .. thats tight rules...
Piggy back and turbo kit is not the best route ... as i learn it hardway on my old bunky its always limited by % value =.= i got stuck for 230 whp cant go for higher boost just because Emanage doesnt wanna work with me

160 hp ATW is definately achieve able with the boosted fit. but how long the engine last from the abuse.. never know .. (stock internals)

So far I heard good things about Firna hope those guys figure out the mystery behind GE8 ecu.., 1 thing that i can think of is to reflash the ecu and reformat it + hondata...

thanks for the info aniway

I think Firna was backing SAGENG racing team which placed 7th on the last race. They also the ones who setup the Aragosa shocks on the winning Fit. I haven't ask them anything about the GE8 ECU and how they are preventing it from going very rich on top end. Some teams are talking and some aren't.

I hope I'm not hijacking this thread because this is about the Kraftwerks Supercharger for GE8.

Mr. Jackson, you might want to start working on the supercharger because we have a lot of GE8 owners in Indonesia and GE8 Fit/Jazz is currently #1 in its class in total sales less than one year since its launch last July. I personally know more than a few people who is interested in spreading your wealth here in Asia. PM me for info.

Supercharger

ABSOLUTELY, I WILL UPGRADE WHEN S/C IS OFFERED. I used to own a Porsche Carrera, so I need the additional power for old time's sake.
