Im in for one. Its either this or the F-Tech turbo kit. Whichever one is released and shows to be a formidable option.

although I think it would be cool to have a SC made I understand Oscars thinking..lots of people will say they're "interested" but how many will actually be willing or even able to spend $4000+ for a kit on their car they just bought and in all likely hood are still making payments on.

ME i had a jackson roots type on my civic 4 door and loved it till the day i divorced and let the ex keep it (i got away with my sanity) its still on the road today and the mpg only dropped about 10% unless you couldn't keep your foot out of the throttle
my payment isnt very much besides i'll get FI when its available, and i'm possitive it will be very shortly - this motor is here to stay for a while, its in SCCA open wheel motorsports, airplanes, etc. it'll just take a little more time - TRUST ME

This is one of the hottest selling cars in the US right now. Plus I would love to have a reason to make the non-believers know my fit is NOT A CHICK CAR. << or an old person car as we seem to be having out here at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in maryland ,.,.,game, set, and match count me in

Kraft Werks uses the Rotrex traction drive superchargers in their kits for the GDs. The High Boost kit puts out 163whp using the stock exhaust but there is much more power with exhaust changes... No problems with the kit has been brought up on here that I have heard of... I think it is going to take a while for someone to get a kit that works as well as this one so you should be able to save up enough for one if you can keep from buying other things for your car that just looks good and will not be compatible with what ever type of boost kits that are eventually put on the market.... Check out how the traction drive works and you will have a better understanding why it is just right for a street driven car.

this just hit me... with all that has been done and developed for the cr-z, what if suddenly KW comes out with a cr-z specific SC and does a "hopscotch" on the GE fit.

what would you guys do???

they already skipped us. they even said it.
and thats one reason why i will never buy nothing from them or
even support them. i even have a miata and was going to buy
a supercharger from them. not anymore. so essentially they lost
2 sales with me going turbo now

I seriously hope that there is a supercharger kit using a Rotrex unit for you guys... There is nothing like it especially with a Hondata reflash. KWSC won't be doing it but others are talking and there is a kit being made in Asia that uses the Rotrex made for GEs

I think about this alot. Of all the DIY boost options, a rotrex unit looks the easiest by far. Honestly, I just need the intial investment for a rotrex c15-60. They retail for $2049 on the Kraftwerks site. I wonder if there is somewhere I can get a used one or find it cheaper new. There's no way possible that kraftwerks is paying 2000 dollars for the rotrex units in a $3000 kit. There would just be no room for profit. If I got one, I could plumb it up, add a cheap bov, get the oil cooler, fab a ghettofabulous bracket and run it straight through the MAF at some rediculously low boost level like 4psi. This is what HKS did with their turbo kit and still managed some increases. It would provide me with the short term satisfaction I would crave to keep me comitted. Then, one paycheck at a time, I could begin buying AEM FIC, Injectors, bigger maf, intercooler etc. Or kraftwerks could just make me a kit...

Maybe it's time to live the american dream of debt slavery and start putting all this unsecured credit to use

Curios too. So, I went searching internationally on ebay. What I found is a C30-74, which is used for a rotrex kit in the following cars:

Alfa 156 v6
BMW Z3 1.9
Ford Fiesta 1.6
Citroen Saxo 8v and 16v
Honda s2000 (EU ver.)
NB Miata 1.8
Peugot 206 2L
VW Polo

Current Bid converted to $823. Only posted this to maybe help give you an idea of how much they go for (gotta wait for the auction to end.) I don't know what the differences are between this and the c15-60, but due to the cars it serves, it's obviously not some tiny thing for motorcycles. I'd say one could be had for around $1000 or less. That would be about right for a profitable product at that price point depending on where else they can build a margin into with the kit.

I would love to see someone pull off putting a larger Rotrex S/C to use on a Fit successfully.... The KWSC kit makes power like a larger engine would with power coming on at the same RPM as a stock Fit and with the Hondata tuning it pulls to 7100 RPM but feels like it could keep going beyond that.
