Upgrade

I went from an 08 GD, to an 09 GE, and put 16 inch rota rspec's on her.

Loving the new design (new for me that is!)

Last night I ordered the Progress RSB. When it arrives I'll take it to be powdercoated red.

There's no telling what I'll order today.

LOL, that's exactly what I was going to do (powdercoat the rsb red)...but I decided that right now I don't have the money, so she will just go on as is.

It's going to be scary to see how close our cars get to each other over time.

Haha, I know, right?

I was thinking that I'd throw the bar on and then maybe this summer replace the hardware and have it powdered. I got mine used so it does have some surface rust from where the paint is chipping. And the hardware is crap. Looks brittle, etc. Need some ss bolts.

Any idea where to find those?

Took some 20,000 mile measurements of my Tanabe DF210s, I can't believe I've had them this long, everything is still great with them. But doesn't change my plans to go coilovers when the shocks/struts wear out.

Bad thing is to me the measurements mean nothing cause I didn't write down the initial install specs and I totally forget now, either way ground to fender arch front is 24.25" both sides, and rear is 24.00" both sides, still sits perfectly level as the day I installed them, I don't think they settled anymore than a 1/4 inch all around if that. I'm very happy with this drop as far as springs alone goes, I don't think I'd wanna go lower with the setup, but the future will tell how low I will go on coilovers.

Seems the DF210s gave me a real world 1-3/4" front and 2-1/8" drop in the rear. I love this kit gives, I never cared for the stock nose dive look.

Landed another retrofit, so I'll be ordering ambient lighting and JDM emblems here today probably.

I need to get that SS hardware as well, Mandar. If you get a saving on shipping, order 2 sets and I'll buy one from you!

I'm gonna look at what the cheapest way to go is on this. Seems like the nuts are the most spendy.

I found everything on fastenal but the nuts are like $18 for 10 (they come in 10)...

Was looking on mcmaster.com but can't find the right size. Mostly because I'm an idiot.

Ahh...here are the nuts.

http://www.mcmaster.com/#nylock-nuts/=g6b30r

Which would be the best?

That's awesome.

My wifey is like "put the damn bar on and be done with it"

LOL. I was like "but it has some surface rust and the hardware is brittle"

She's actually really supportive just gets on me when I'm so indecisive.

I really want the bar on now ...lol

So put the bar on now and when you get the SS hardware pull it to powdercoat it!
