What did you do to your GE fit today?
i can second that one. totaled my ek a while back. airbag burn all up my arm and of course the smash in the face wasn't great either, but it beats the alternative. hope everyone is ok on both sides...
The people I've gotten opinions from think the car will be totaled. I'm not sure if I will get another Fit or not.
Due to my seating position and how I have the steering wheel the air bag hit me full in the chest. Never got near my face which is probably a good thing.
Oh well. I'll keep you guys updated. Seeing her on the flat bed though, felt like I was loosing a part of me.

You and the other driver are fine and that's all the matter. Metal and wheels can be replaced. Good luck with everything!

Had a camaro in the left lane waiting to turn left, he decided he needed to go right and turned into me while I was on the side of him. He hit me and pushed me into another minivan that was in a drive way waiting to turn out. Hopped the curb and then the car bottomed out on the curb and came to a stop. Rain had everything wet so the initial hit was about 30 mph but he was almost at a dead stop. Everyone was ok. The fit did was it was supposed to do and kept me safe even though it had THE worst damage of the the 3 vehicles. The camaro looked like all that had happened was the front side marker got nocked out and then the bumper clips on the passenger side came undone. When he went to move it the tie rod turned out to be broken and I swear when I heard it crunching my poor little fit glowed for a second almost like a "gotcha back. bitch.". Anyways, not sure about new car yet. No fits in the area in a standard transmission and I don't think I want another one at this point.
What do y'all think?

Definitely his fault. I'm assuming they issued him the ticket? You should be fine with insurance. The Fit did protect you well!
Feel your pain Jamy... All that work you put into it. The insurance check will be good but definitely won't feel quite right... Well the Fit did it's job for sure... and definitely Physics still rule though huh? Hard to argue that...

Jamy: I FEEL your pain! Same thing happened to me, just before Christmas..but it was a hit & run. Side airbags deployed, didn't feel a thing. It's an almost indescribable feeling to see your car leaving on a flatbed, knowing that you'll probably (True, in my case) never drive it again!! Lol I was going to point out how resilient those hella horns are haha
@Jamy... Just looking at the front I'd guess $4500... I lost most of the front of my car but my hood and fenders were OK and it was $2000 in damage.. That was 5 years back so I am probably off a bit due to inflation...How did you keep from killing the asshole that did that to you?
