It is a proactive measurement on mall security. It is a good thing. It is from my security professional point of view. You want to prevent crime before it happens.

I saw "parking lot security" putting something real similiar to that on peoples cars at Home Depot once. Just before that, as I was driving into the parking lot, they were stopping all drivers to give them a "reminder flyer" to hide valuables from sight when parking. There's definitely been an increase in window break-in's around here for a while now, I see shattered windows quite often. Thieves have picked up on the fact that most if not all factory alarms won't go off unless the doors, or hood/trunk is opened. Another reason to look into getting a add-on motion detector.

Gathered up and organized some parts I've been acquiring to get them installed this weekend.

Today... my dumbass got myself a speeding ticket in the Fit.

Better yet... pulled over by the SAME cop that gave me a warning last time.

where'd you get yours? and about the mall security...this past december cops were patrolling the mall parking lots here on horses to scope for thiefs. pretty awesome.

they're not LED. they're just projectors that i ripped out of the infiniti Q45 headlights. (pain in the ass to find by the way.) i'm also not sure about the diameter, and i can't really measure it for you right now. im sorry, but im sure you can find out the diameter of the Q45 projector if you googled it. here's the headlight i ripped it out from

big headlight.

Hehehe... Yeah been thinking of re-badging mine to the red dot Jazz emblem, just gotta find a good price on an OEM one.

Yeah I was thinking of adding that strip too. Recently the shock has come back, I'm thinking its cause the OEM carpet floor mats are getting worn out. When I first put the Clazzio's in the shock went away completely, so it can't be from the seats. Probably gonna go with the Weathertechs.

Cocowheat, post up pics after the install, and take some shots of the light output. Those headlights are killer!

LOL sorry goobers. Ease up on the gas, bud. Was it Skokie cops? I use to love to play around with the paddle shifters down McCormick because it's a nice stretch of two lane road that is real easy to go speeding up and down on.

It was in Winnetka.

The thing is... I broke my normal habit. Actually, that was a really rare occasion to see cops in the Sheridan ravine. I have a separate habit in there, since its pretty fun to stick to around 25-35 there (only a 20 zone though).

My normal habit is to just stick to +5 MPH in local roads. Got a ticket for 36 MPH in that 20 zone. Slow ass speeding ticket.

If I had just stock to my habit... the cops wouldn't have cared.

I switched out my snow tires for my stock Dunlops -- the weather is forecast to be above 50 for the next week, so I'm safe (I hope).

Also replaced the wiper inserts -- the original ones lasted me 2.5 years, so I just used the Honda ones.

Not too glamorous a job, but with the Midwest winter just about over, I washed and waxed the Fit as well as vacuumed out the interior, then washed and scrubbed the dirty all weather mats that had gotten muddy over the past few months. The Fit is lookin' good!
