Slowly but surely

I finally chose springs and had them installed. Went with Tein. So far, they are great. While I was having that done decided to take off my front emblem and paint it flat black. I like it a lot!

LOL for "FWD LOL"

What do you think about the Direzzas, and what tires have you had on the Fit before (any Falken Azenis RT615k)? I've always liked the way Direzzas look but never really heard anybody's opinions about their performance.

I had DZ101s on my Integra GS-R. Car handled great and they were relatively quiet. They lasted me a few seasons before I traded the car and I'm considering them again for the Fit. I'm about ready to begin the hunt for new tires myself and depending on pricing, I may go with the Direzzas again.

I finally installed my Tein Street Advance coilovers today. They are awesome. Not too harsh at all.

As far as tires i've had before,(besides stock dunlops) in the 70k i've racked up so far i've been on nankangs, rt615's, and before these dz101's just had Federal RS-R's. The nankangs were trash of course, but i enjoyed both rt615's and RS-R's, but both very loud for everyday driving. tracking the 615's were great, but after the tires heat up, it gets slick...but they say the version now doesnt do that was much. by far the RS-R's have been my favorite handling tire, but probably the loudest which got annoying. i think the dz101's are the best bang for your buck, with good handling characteristics, nice tread and sidewall design, and VERY QUIET!!! i'm loving the ride right now, and you won't be disappointed...i also run these up front on my 240.

haha, what's funny is that after i snapped that pic i took apart the fogs and ripped the film off. it annoyed me so much, lol. here's a pic with both of them CF, ...i hardly have any pics where u can actually tell that they're both cf, lol. you can't even really tell in this pic.

I recently completed the break in period! Today I received my mugen short shifter and weather-tech floor liners. I picked up a Honda oil filter at my local speed shop (for anyone in the Chicagoland area, Mark at One6 is all about top notch service, look'em up!) and I was gonna buy royal purple but they didn't have 0w20, so I got a weighted gunmetal shiftknob instead. Gonna put eveything in later today after I find some royal purple...

Just ordered new tires for the Fit. Hankook Ventus V2 concept 205/50/16 from Discounttiredirect.com for $294 shipped. Was considering the Direzzas but the Hankooks got a great rating for lifetime, noise, and were $60 less.

Oh Discount tire is having a sale that ends today... $50 off a set of 4 tires.

Sigh...I was going to plastidip my rims but the index cards wouldn't fit between the tire and the rim. What to do, what to do...

funny you should ask, because what i did today is your solution. i dismounted my tires, but i work at tires plus so it didn't cost me anything.

dropping them off tomorrow to be painted again.

Funny you said that. The tires only have 22-24 psi in it, but still tight as butt. These are not my daily, so no one freak!

Lucky! I was thinking of doing that actually, as a last resort.
