Fed up with USB connection issues
I suggest a USB flash drive for storing/listening to music in the car as well. I have one that I use specifically for that and it works great. Alot better than my iPod did and I can leave it in the car all the time and not worry about someone breaking in and stealing my $200 iPod. All they will get is my $25 flash drive.
If I didn't have an iPhone that needed constant charging, I would use a USB also.
mmm. ive been using a flash drive since i picked up my GE a few months ago.
today i decided to add some songs into my flash, plugged it back into the fit,
and now my device is 'unsupported' anyone else have this issue?

The apple USB cable wires comes loose at the conection part to the ipod/ iPhone I found that the brand Griffen has a cable that has release clips on the end is sturdy for use in the car. I had issues like this until I replaced the cable. Good luck
I'd guess that some of the songs you moved on there weren't in .mp3 format. Doublecheck that they all are mp3s rather than mp4, m4a, m4p, etc.
i use my iphone constantly with no problems. i'm using the apple cable that came with the phone (it has the squeeze to release connection that someone mentioned earlier). i really like the convenience of it charging the iphone and playing my tunes. and when i get a call it automatically mutes the stereo.
