I was checking out my friends Civic, and in the Civics rear hatch they have what Honda calls a strofoam tool storage container in the middle of the spare. This adds much needed support to the floor of the Civic. The cost at the dealer is 23.00 a small price to pay to add support to the floor of the Fit. Does anyone know if this strofoam tool storage container will fit in the spare of the Fit like it does in the Civic? Thanks Leif

Sorry to get your hope up to a solution for the flimsy hatch floor. I just checked my friends strofoam tool storage container for his civic and it does not fit in the Fits spare wheel it is to big. This would be a great solution if Honda could make one to fit the spare on the Fit. Leif

 

I've been toying with the idea too... perhaps something we can easily DIY and put on the spare wheel to add suppot...

The floor is VERY FLIMSY on the fit!!! Heck, I've even considered making a new floor out of wood or something.
