3m Clearbra installed pricing
3m Clearbra installed pricing
Calling around to the local tint/clearbra places, it seems I can get a basic install cheapest for around $650, which seems about 55% labor given that I can buy the 3m kit on the internet for about $300. For $500 more and doing almost a full window tint, I can get the fog lights, headlights, full hood, rocker panels and lower side molding (I already scuffed the drivers side molding with my shoes last weekend)
Does this sound reasonable?

hmm... in my opinion, its really not worth it to clearbra. i mean to a point to cant really protect the cars paint. for instance a door ding or something. its just inevitable. with the clear bra, over time you will start seeing rips in it from protecting the car from rock chips and what not. maybe save the money on other mods?
but of course if u can get a good deal go for it!

i wanted a 3m clearbra when i first got my car, but decided not to just because it was so expensive and i was a broke college student. have you tried to remove the scuff from your shoe? it can probably be polished/waxed away unless you were wearing metal cleats or something.
each person has their view on it.
Mine is I have it and it's awesome. sure it will deteriorate over a period, but during that period, the protected areas will look new.
others will say, just save the money for a repaint or new bumper down the line, but how long do you want to roll with all those chips and dents on the bumper?

Clearbras are nice at first, but look like crap in a few years, especially on a dark car. In fact, I think it looks worse than a few paint chips after a few years. Then when you try to remove the clearbra after a few years when it does look like crap, the paint doesn't match any more, depending on the brand of paint. Save your money imo.
Seems pretty much in line to me. As a comparison, I had a XPEL kit installed on my '09 for around $600. My kit covers the complete front bumper, Bikini cut on the hood, front fenders, mirrors, and a "luggage protector" strip on the rear bumper. I've had both 3M and XPEL clear bras on all my cars over the last 5 years or so, Atlanta area interstates are hell. Never had any problems and I've always found it well worth the investment. A quality installation goes a long way in the look/life of the bra...

i dont want to get in a war with anyone, but im tired of hearing the downsides of all this fading and what not.
