whenever you use your A/C turn it off 10min before you reach your destination... but leave the fan on... it clears your lines & makes for it not to have that awful smell learn that in auto been using that my car doesnt smell when i use A/C

How exactly do you apply the product? I heard that Frigi-Clean is far superior. Can you get that?

Thanks, but my car is garaged at home and work. I would consider spraying some lysol in there but I don't like the way it smells either.

I sprayed Einszett Klima Cleaner through the center vent, as recommended by several board members here, following the instructions on the canister. That worked great for the smell of the air that blows when the air conditioner is set to blow cold air. But I still have a bad smell when the fan just blows plain air, with the air conditioner turned off. It seems to mostly be coming into the cabin from the round vent that's at the far left side of the dashboard.

Is it safe to spray the Einszett Klima Cleaner or Lysol or something into that vent too? (I don't know exactly where it leads, so I am afraid to just spray it there blindly.)

(One other question, when folks say they spray Lysol, which Lysol are you talking about? There are a bunch of different Lysols.)

Rule #1, when you use the AC, make sure you turn it off and put selector to fresh air mode and leave fan running with fresh air mode 5 mins BEFORE you reach your destination. This will allow the evap to dry out before you park it, ive used this golden rule for many cars and i never get that sweaty ass smell in my AC ever..

I've done, and continue to do, all that. Hasn't been enough.

Has anyone sprayed into the round vent opening that is on the far left of the dashboard, next to the window?

Thiz is excellent advice. When I am 10 min out here in Florida, I turn off AC, leave external air on. I have never had a problem with that smell in my 2013 Honda Fit.
