T1R Shifter Install - stupid question...

My T1R shifter arrived yesterday. I've taken a good long look at the DIY here: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/aj-r...tion-tech.html

Install of the shifter itself seems pretty straightforward...

But the shifter came with 8 metal washers, which are not depicted at all in the DIY.

Where do these go? Maybe I put them under the shift lever housing to elevate it?

yes you put them under the housing to elevate it. this whole shifter install is pretty easy. if you got some extra hands to help you out, that would be great.

Thanks, Doc. I couldn't decide if they were to lift the housing or maybe just to replace the bushings.

So you stack 2 washers under each bolt?
