Electrical Burning Smell - AT issue?

My AT GE8 has just under 11K on the odometer, and I just started noticing a faint electrical burning type of odor. It only happens after some spirited driving (IE hard acceleration and deceleration) and is only noticeable once I park the car. It's stronger on the driver's side (inside and out, but stronger outside, I think) and fades away very quickly. There's no odor in the engine bay, and my brakes still have plenty of life in them. I checked for plastic and debris under the car, but there's none to be found. I haven't done any electrical work (except for removing the DRL fuse awhile back.

My biggest concern is that it's the transmission (AT) since it seems to relate to how I was driving before I park, but I haven't noticed any problems at all...still shifts smoothly and quickly - I also use the paddles almost exclusively.

Any ideas for troubleshooting or detecting the source? Anyone had any early AT failures or repairs?

Might be that your AT fluid has overheated due to your driving style and is causing the smell.
