STOLEN: All four wheels and tires
Yep. They left the jack this last time. The first time the whole car was supported by a old steel wheel placed under the center of the car.
had to bump this...
i live down in pottstown and my wife's wheels/tires were stolen the night before last... talked to the cop and he said that fit's seemed to be a hot target...
then my buddy who works in a honda dealer up in reading called me today and said last night one of their fits had the rims/tires taken off it last night...
just saying there's some shit going on around here... and i don't like it.

When I bough my FIT in April it had wheel lock nuts on it already, and I noticed that the others on the dealer's lot did also. They didn't charge me for them, I think they do it automatically when they come in.
The wheel locks are not impossible to get around. They are really just for the easy opportunity type of thief. If the thieves want your car or anything off if it they will get it. My friend told me that there are Giant Vice-Grip-like-tools that will pop off any locking lug-nut. After he laughed at me for spending 40 bucks. A good alarm would deter the A-holes or ignition kill switch would work.
Sounds like they did not thrash the car, so at least that is lucky.

After reading this thread and the unfortunate wheel theft suffered by our fellow forum participants, I am thinking of getting wheel lock nuts as well. I've already have impact sensor added to my OEM alarm for my 2010 FIT sports A/T.
Am I correct in assuming that if some thieves tried to steel my sports rim with lock nuts on, they have to hit the lock nut with a hammer which will trigger the FIT impact sensor alarm?
If my assumption is correct, I guess, it would be cheaper to install wheel nuts than to install a completely new aftermarket alarm with tilt sensor since I already have an impact sensor
Any advice appreciated
Thanks
Ric
