STOLEN: All four wheels and tires
2009 Fit Sport. Atlanta GA. All 4 stock tires and wheels stolen last night. one side of car is resting on concrete blocks. The other side fell off the jacks that they used so its resting on the rotors. 3 other Fit's hit the same night in the same neighborhood. So they got 16 wheels and tires in one night. Bastards!! Dealer quoted my insurance over 3K for stock replacements. Wheels alone not including tires are $450 each not even including TPS and center caps! Insurance is mailing me a check for the $3300 for me to put wheels and tires back on the car so I can drive the car back to dealer to fix body trim damage that the punks did!
I just bought the Chicane Traklite Hyper black rims off wheel fire. Total came to $1100 with wheels, tires, and shipping. So, $3,300 from insurance minus $1100 minus $500 deductible so Im not quite as mad as I was this morning. Still going to have to get the TPS installed on the wheels, and have insurance pay for the lower body trim damage on the car. Hopefully no damage to the rotors from falling off the jack on one side. Think im going to use some of the extra money on an alarm system. Never thought I would have to worry about stock rims getting stolen from a car. lol. really hope the new rims look good on this car. im a little nervous.

Someday they'll be a mint collectible.

All the Fits at the dealer I got my car from are outfitted with wheel locks. Salesman even brought up the fact that the wheel are being stolen because the lug pattern matches some Civic model years.
Maybe this just sounds too logical but did I read that 3 Fits all got their wheels stolen in one area in one night?? Seems to me that if the Fit is a popular target a "bait" Fit could be left out by local LE and bam..nail the rats like you would when they come for the cheese.
And I'm sure if caught they are probably "good kids" who really just caught up in a bad situation
They should get the same treatment that horse thieves got back in the day...I sure as heck would not shed a tear

I don't wanna bring up old threads like this, just wanna let everyone know this is still going on in Allentown. Some pos stole mine last night. I drove up here from SC for a couple weeks to visit family and became a victim of PA like many of you!
A determined thief will take anything, but the odds of your car being passed over in favor of an easier mark are better when you have an assortment of locking lug nuts. Get a set of four gorilla locks (with the spinning tips that can't be taken off with a forced-on socket oir vice grips) and a set of the Honda locks also. That will put locks on two nuts (180 degrees apart) on each wheel.
Don't keep the lug nut keys in the glove box.

Wheel locks mean just about nothing if the thief knows what he is doing and has the proper tools. The doors on just about any car can now be unlocked using a device that is almost like the universal remotes people use to turn off TVs from out side windows or in stores for a laugh. They are not common but there have been a few news articles on it recently and arrests.
