Yesterdays trip. Scan Gauge results.
180 miles total. 5 stops. 100 miles on interstate 60 - 70 mph. CC used on interstate. A/C used 30% of time.
Overall avg. 41.5 mpg.

Interstate no A/C tests:
60 mph 3, 6 mile tests avg. 47.0 mpg.
65 mph 4, 6 mile tests avg. 41.2 mpg.
70 mph 3, 6 mile tests avg. 39.0 mpg.

66 - 70 mph no cruise 1, 6 mile test 41.5 mpg.

Can you imagine the gas saved if they made the speed limit 55 again!

Another fillup and my figures are coming down -- more in line with what I'm seeing for other drivers.

201.1 mi on 4.772gal = 42.1mpg. Rolling 3-fill average is 46.2.

Dash display said 44.5, or 5.6% better that actual. This is the first time that my fill is worse than the display.

Used the same pump as last time and filled to the first release again.

EDIT: I haven't checked the odometer accuracy since I increased inflation pressure. If that changed the odometer it would be more distance per revolution or an odometer that shows less than the actual distance. (It had been right within a percent at 32 psi). Any odo change won't cause the whole difference in efficiency; I think I'm really getting low-to-mid 40s.
