got another question
sorry if this has already been asked, but did the body change at all from the07-08 til now . the 2010-2011s. im geting my fit next week and im looking for a body kit , but all im finding so far are 06-07-08s and one 09.im getting the white base model, 2011 i think, might get a 10 for a few bucks cheaper.dont no yet.
Well, in case you haven't noticed, there's a Fit in the banner at the top of the page, that looks different from yours. Should've been your first clue.
There's two sections for Fits, 07-08 and then 09+... second clue. Do a little browsing, and I'm sure you would've seen plenty of pictures for the cars.
But as per thy laziness, yes, there's a difference, and you won't be able to fit most body kits (some little things might fit with some adjustment, like winglets).

no need to be an ass. im far from lazy, and yes i know there are two sections, i dont have it yet, i said next week. damn, just thought id ask. next time if you think someone ask a dumb question, just keep your answer to yourself, youll make yourself look a lil better
The fact you thought I was being an ass only shows me that you became defensive when it was pointed out to you how simple the answer is.
If you're going to buy a car... don't you want to put some effort into researching it? I mean you already put effort into look for a body kit. Just a few moments of looking around, and all would've been clear. But, instead, you wanted people to TELL you an answer you could've already known.
Have fun.

body kits are pretty readily available for the first gen, but second gen kits are lagging behind quite a bit. personally, I think the stock second gen is pretty nice (mugen kit is reeeaaaallly nice for it) but I'm a little biased
I'm with goobers, dude you have to be blind! Theres so much difference.. just google honda fit.. and body kits, please explain further...... and goobers was nice. this is a relatively nice forum, my srt forums will just delete your thread and send ya a nasty pm
I understand that some folks can't tell the difference between a hummer and a corvette (seriously).
But if you're gonna buy a car, you should be able to pick out your car from any line up.
In that regards there are a couple of basic things that should be obvious.
Front hood:
GD's hood looks kinda flat with a line down the middle.
GE's look more curved with two lines.
Silhouettes:
GDs have more straight lines than the GE. GD's windshield is relatively straight with a relatively straight hood line. Same with the trunk/hatch. When looking from the front or back, the side panels do the same thing. GE shows curves in the silhouette (humped nose?).
These are at least some of details I expect a prospective buyer to notice.
For someone that wants to do body kits, I expect a person to know MUCH more. Actual shape of the bumpers, shape of headlight and taillight housings. Shape of hatch. And so on, because these are some of the details that affect body kits.

Either your mentally ill, if so please excuse my comment or your just a dumb ass. Even a second grader can tell the difference between the 1st gen and 2nd gen......
In defense of the original poster, you have to remember that despite the Fit being a top seller around the world, he/she may live in an area where they are not all that common. I live in Souther California and even with eleventy billion people here I do not see all that many Fits in the road. There are times when I see a generation one, and I have to take a second look to recognize it as a Fit.
Also, to the uninformed perhaps the OP was talking attach points or something that has a universal application.
Finally we are talking about a Honda Fit here, not some collectible car where an enthusiast would be justified in nit picking the difference between a badge, or a trim piece.

Guess I'm a moron too. I had trouble early on telling the differences between GDs and GEs. For one thing GDs are few and far between in my area and GEs aren't that much more common, so my chances to do a side-by-side where nil. As cars go the two are more similar in appearance then different so if you looking at pictures or just get a glimpse of a passing car it is hard to tell if you don't know what to look for. Just because the two look some what different doesn't necessarily mean that after market parts can't work on both. Though in this case the different dimensions would no doubt prohibit that.
Yes the OP could have done more research to get his answer, but that is true of most, if not all, questions asked in these forums. No need to jump his case.
To the OP: If anything is designated for 07 - 08 it probably won't do on a 10 or 11.
