I suspect it's part of the metal key as non-remote keys have the feature. Not sure...

Go get one from the dealership? Just give them your VIN and they can make one for you with the security transponder and all. It will not be cheap though.

How much are the aftermarket keys?
This is an old thread. I recovered my stolen Fit and got quotes for a new key from Piercey Honda in Fremont California on 11/20/19 - $304.06 for the key blank, $114 for programming.
