I'm looking at changing the stock bulb for LEDs in the roof mounted courtesty light ( the one that comes on when the door is opened ). Question - how to remove the plastic cover. Does the cover prise off or the whole unit. Any help would be appreciated

 

The clear plastic is what you have to pry off. Look carefully and you'll see where to put a screwdriver to pry.

I had the same question when I did it. All you need to do is remove the clear covers (for front and middle) not the entire unit. I used a really small/thin flat head screw driver and came right off.
