Can't remove rear wiper arm (the entire thing)

OK, so I removed the plastic cap, then the bolt. Am i meant to just PULL the arm out? I pulled with extreme force and nothing... I am afraid I am going to break it at this point...

What I am trying to do is to align it properly. After a repair on the vehicle, the arm was left a few degrees off, and when it stops/rests it does not remain horizontal.

Whoever did the repair should fix it, unless that's you...

The arm pulls straight off, but if it's been cranked on tight by the bolt you might need a small puller. I went to autozone and free rented one. Pulled it in the parking lot. They have little pry bars for wiper arms, but on the rear arm there's nothing to pry against.

You have to torque the wipers to spec. I forget where I saw it...maybe in the manual?

Same thing happened to me justintime. To avoid a 10 mile drive and a day's wait I adjusted them myself. After removing the plastic cap and the nut I found that they were still tight on the spindle so I replaced the nut, tightened it by hand then backed it off a thread or two, then holding the wiper arm for support I gave the nut a couple of smart taps with a hammer, taking care to hit the nut squarely and not damage the thread. Remember, they won't come off if the wiper is still in contact with the windscreen - you have to set them to the vertical position (90 degrees from the windscreen) for them to come loose. - Hope this helps you or anyone else with the same problem.

When I did my JDM wiper mod I removed the trunk card and got to the back of the wiper stalk through the motor housing. Bests trying to force the wiper off the spindle. That is, unless you just take the car back to wherever you had service done....
