Colored Seat Belts

I'm looking to change out the stock Blackish belts for some Beautiful Blue or Purple ones. Only question is, does anyone have any experience getting off and replacing the actual belt fabric? Any help or direction to this would be great!

Yeah Cause i Saw a guy with a Donk Style car here in town with green Belts. Yet they were not a racing harness it looked like the standard stock belt aside from the fact it was green. He said you can order the material online and change it your self so now I'm looking to do the same to my fit

This is quite an interesting mod. I like the idea of having bright seat belts from a safety standpoint, but am wondering if in an accident and the new belt fails, if the insurance company is going to deny injury claims...

I buy nylon (seat belt type) straps for various bag & purse modifications from a military surplus store in town. How are you planning to attach the straps to each other? I've used grommets in the past for my bags, but they tend to start fraying around 2-3 year mark. Now I have the store do all the sewing with their industrial looking machine. The nylon is really dense.

Well the way I thought about it was, Im pretty sure Honda doesn't Manufacture The actual belt (like the webbing), They simply approve it (If anyone can correct me hurry lol before i kill myself) but i found this web site ( strapworks.com ) and after reading the specs on the webbing it seems trusting. And as for Dyeing the factory belts I would totally do that if I actually could? I mean since they're black and Honda doesn't seem to make White belts.

@Syne
attachment would most likely be remove panels and do my best to slip in the new belts in place of the factory black ones. But i'd need to see how easily or if it is at all possible. I think i might take the actual belts to local car upholstery shop to see if they could do all the sewing and things like that.
