ebay armrest console

I know a few people reviewed the china one that slides foward and said it was crap. This one is like the zeta, it could be the same? It came with 4 screws and I dont know what they are for, I am not drilling a new car for a cheap armrest. I dropped it in and it wasn't 100% snug. There is a hole on the bottom of the console that lines up with the bolt in bottom of the cupholder. The console was sitting on top of this bolt. You need to take out the bolt and put it in the console but the big washer does not fit in the console flush so I used sand paper to file the edges of the big washer down until it fit flat.(the bottom picture shows this) I tightened it and now its very secure. It is the same height as the armrest on the door so both arms are resting at the same height. There is a fold down cupholder in the rear. Seems like it should last a while, I will update if it breaks. 30$ + 20$ shipping. It is shown in my 2012 base auto Armrest Black Leather Console Box For 2009 10 11 Honda Mk2 Jazz/Fit | eBay

Looks great in your base.
It looks exactly like the one I bought from Zeta, although the vinyl on top of mine was less shiny and had more of a mat look. If it is the same, it should be sturdy and last a while. Mine has been in my car for 1.5 years w/o any problems.

I wiped it down with 303 protectant before I put it in, it wasn't shiny out of the box.

I had wondered if you used armorall or something similar, since the base looks much shinier than mine, too. I still have not screwed mine in and the fit is very snug. As long as people or animals aren't crawling over it & adding extra weight, it should last for along time.

This arm rest looks pretty legit. That price can't be beat either. Would have been better if you could slide the padding forward though.

I unfortunately ended up buying one of the cheapy ebay ones that everyone talked about. Regretted the decision and just went for the OEM and have been extremely satisfied. Although I wish it had coin holders like this one!!

Hey thanks for posting pics.

I am thinking to get this, would you recomend it?

Also, does the base 12 have a armrest? I have a 2010 sport, and there is a folding arm rest, would this get in the way if I bought the center console?

All aftermarket armrest that I've read about so far, require removing the stock armrest from the Sport.

did your console armrest come with the removal kit for the oem armrest?

The armrest I bought from Zeta Products comes with a kit so you can cover the hole left after removing the driver's armrest in the Sport model.

No, no kit to cover hole, just armrest and some screws.

How's the fitment around where the sides of the armrest base meet the oem console? I ask because from the link, and the pictures you provided, it looks like it's actually designed for the GD Fit. The GE has a flat top center console, so it appears that the curvature at the bottom of the armrest would cause it to not fit flush.

Going off of what I've seen on Ebay, it appears that the mass-produced Chinese armrests for the GE are a 2-piece, swivel top design. The GD is a stationary, single unit.(Link) I would avoid the 2-piece design simply because it seems weaker to begin with, before it's produced at the lowest price possible. If the GD fits, with minor modification, then that may just be the way to go.

Did you ever wind up putting the screws into it?

Oh also, what year is your fit? I just got mine today! It's a 2010.

I did not use the screws. I only re used the bolt in the bottom of the cupholder and thats holding it perfect.

Its not perfectly flush, I didn't notice anything until you asked, so I went out and looked. Doesn't bother me in the least, you cant even tell unless you recline the seat all the way back. I will post a pic of the sides this weekend.

Thanks! I much prefer this design to the swivel type that all the other ebay consoles for the GE seem to be. I may have to order one up after checking out those pics.
