I know this is from 1932 BC, but I need keys. Do you still work there?

I just did that .. bought a use smart key on ebay for $37 $6 for a blank key and the Coral Spring Locksmith guy charge me $50 to program the smart key and cut my blank key on my 2007 GS350. I called the Dealer before that and they wont even do it.. they said I need to buy a brand new $300 key to them and they can program it for free...

2008 Accord remote key

I have an '08 Accord, both remotes went bad, replaced batteries, cleaned contacts, everything, dead, then I lost one. Dealer wants $150 for new key and programming and will not cut one purchased somewhere else. Maybe I should have paid it, bought one for $28 at iKeyless through Amazon. Local locksmith, guy I even know, wants $28 to cut and $82 to program, when I asked how much to just cut and do the transponder, since my mechanic will program the remote for free, I guess he got pissed and didn't reply. Another locksmith wants $95 to cut & program. 3 other locksmiths I contacted don't do it. I have an inquiry out to another dealer. Maybe I should just send the key back, take out the credit card and go to the dealer.

The dealer had to program key at 40 but i prefer Locksmith instead of dealer because they are professionals and have experience of locksmithing business.

It's one of those services you hope you will never need to use, but that's life and sometimes you get stuck. The house door key got stuck and then broken inside the lock and had no way to be used again, great adventure for almost a 100 degrees day,
Anyway, I called Locksmith in Sunrise and they got there really quick, the lock was replaced and brand new set of keys was given. great service, great work, and great price!

Help From China

I realize this thread's last post was almost a year ago, but I have the same issue. Seems there is a possible $38 solution from China?
Product here. Youtube Video showing how to use this product on a 2016 Fit here.

Yes they work great! I bought my daughter a 2012 that only had one key , used fasterauto keys.com you send them a picture of your key , they cut it and send you a replacement for $20 each but that doesn’t include the electronics for the remote had to buy that off of eBay $10 each and then the easy key maker was $50 My local auto nation wanted 110 just for the key and cut it, and then 140 to program to the car. I checked the local locksmiths they all ran between 125 and 200 total . The easy key maker doesn’t come with instructions and the instructions online suck but it’s not hard to basically put the key in the ignition plug in the programmer and turned ignition key on and off Then hold the unlock buttons on each remote, then check to see if everything works . If you need easy key programmer I can sell you mine .Sold keymaker to someone else . So now I have 3 working keys and remotes for a total of $70.

Towing is not a bad idea, but in case of locked keys in car calling dealership is better idea.
