+1 for seeing the doctor. You may have spinal trauma from a wreck like that and you might not suffer the symptoms until later in your life, when it's too late or much more difficult to treat.

Spinal injuries are the worst in my opinion.

I am in agreement with everyone that is encouraging you to be checked out by a doctor... If I had been aware of how messed up I would from injuries that I received 25 to 45 years ago I wouldn't be eating time release morphine 3 times a day... Your car was really looking good too... There is no sense in compounding your grief by not getting checked out..

Have to agree with the others- please get checked out by a doc-fractured ribs and other internal injuries do not always "hurt" at first but can cause permanent damage & affect you for a lifetime. I had a blow to the face whan I was younger--didn't have any problem at the time until 15 years later when a dentist realized I had bone loss in my upper jaw.

Poor little Fit- sacrificed his life to save yours. Hope insurance company is fair with your claim.

Why is this happening to everyone? Did Honda install some top secret stealth technology in the Fit that makes it go unnoticed by other drivers? WTF Honda? How do you turn this $hit off?

That woman freezing up will cost her insurance about $25,000.

Id be ready to beat the crap out of somebody. Its just unacceptable how some people drive these days. So now because of someone else's negligence you were injured and your car (which we all know you spent allot of time and money on) is totaled. That's some Bull$hit

Get your rental. Go to the doctor. Make sure they don't take general x-rays of your rib cage. They need to do close up front and sides. I went to the ER and they x-rayed and completely missed the cracked ribs because they were focusing entirely on my sternum.

Pics look pretty bad too. The tow truck one is almost a mirror image of mine... No bumper, Cracked headlight, wheels cut out.. Pretty much everything that happened to mine happened to yours on the opposite side.

Sorry about your car.

Hopefully your doctor will confirm that you're okay and everything will work out somehow.

Damn. Sorry to see dude, especially after all the work you've put into it. I hope everything checks out at the doctor and that the insurance process isn't too difficult. Also hope we get to keep you around with another fit in the future.

Amen. I had just gotten my coil overs done a week and a half before my car got totaled because some idiot in a camaro wanted to cut across my lane with out looking so he could get to his hotel without making a u-turn.

Sure:

I was on the four-lane divided road at around 60mph. She inched forward at a stop sign coming out of her neighborhood and began to proceed forward to jump ahead of me rather than wait five seconds. She then saw me, froze up and stopped completely right with her driver's door in my path of travel. I reacted quickly by steering right (behind her) and slamming on the brakes. Jumped the curb, took out the stop sign, and slammed into the fence and concrete / brick piling.
