I got my LED bulb from College Hills Honda. On their website you can look it up by vehicle. I bought one for my GE and one for my daugter's GD. The bulb is the same for both vehicle models. The swtched lens cover is also the same for both models.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure CHH got their supply from superbrightleds.com; they use SBL's product codes anyway. but superbrightled has a much broader selection of colors, angles, etc.

I found my Fit switches the light off if I leave the hatch open for more than 20 minutes. The problem solves itself.

The 09s (at least) aren't that smart. Interior lights, yes, but not the hatch/luggage area light. Lots of stories about people running down their batteries leaving the hatch ajar.

All I did was install the LED. I figure it could run all night without running the battery down. I haven't tried it yet, of course.

It only took me like 9 months to get around to it, but I finally switched out my light cover. I am pleased as can be. Thanks everyone in this thread for your help. ^_^

Want some serious light in the hatch area? Sick and tired of fumbling under the "glow" of that cheap sidelight? Try wiring in one of these:

6K WHITE 48 LED CIRCUIT BOARD 194 921 57 1156 3175 211

I created an extension lead from the sidelight, drilled a small hole above in the left sidepanel, running the wire to the center of the package shelf where I attached the square LED board with black zipties thru the shelf. WOW! Lights up that cave like daylight!
