Swap Nav / Si Steering Wheel?

I keep seeing an 09 Si steering wheel that has volume controls on the local Honda parts listings. It looks identical to my Fit Sport wheel, just without the stereo controls. I have an aftermarket radio so I would just be using a PAC connector.

I am just wondering if all the wiring is there and I just need to hook the wheel up, or if I would have to get a harness etc. If it's all there, then I might grab the wheel.

to quickly answer your question, no. it's not a direct swap. you should have all the parts you need to do it on yours though. read that link to see what all is involved. you have to run a couple wires, takes a couple hours to get everything up and running. i used the aswc for my aftermarket unit, works about 75% of the time, but i might just have a loose connection somewhere.

Well I can solder no problem and Ive already taken the car apart loads of times so no biggie. As much as I hate programming those adapters it should be worth it. I am just glad that someone else had to go through the trouble before me !

Doesn't sound like it will be "hard" for you then. And it's really no more difficult than installing a stereo for anyone else, you just need patience. And even though I am having a small issue with my personal aswx, I would highly recommend it to anyone. No programming needed, plus if you already have Bluetooth on your steering wheel, it will handle that too!

One big piece of advice though if you've never removed your steering wheel. Pull slow and gentle and try to have everything straight when you pull it off. About the third time I pulled mine off I yanked at it cause I was rushing and pulled the whole reel cable apart. That is a PITA to get back together correctly!! Good luck!
