Hi all, I'm new to fitfreak, I hope this is the right place to post this! I have a 2013 Fit Sport AT, yesterday when I turned the car off I notice that the key was really hot. Has anyone noticed this and should I be worried? Thanks!

 

I haven't noticed mine being hot, I have owned the car two years. I would be concerned enough to take it back to the dealer.

If it's been in the sun (car, not the key) it can make the steering column extra hot and this heat will warm up the key. Make sure it's just not sunlight (does the key get hot at night?)

 

My key never gets hot, but it does warm up. It would be 30-ish degrees, and by the time I grt home my key is warm enough I clutch it in my pocket to warm up.

 

Mine only gets hot from long night driving for some reason. There is no light so I'm at a loss.

 

Thanks for the replies. I think Steve244 is right, my car had been in the sun all day, we were having a mini heat wave here in NH and that's when I noticed the key being really hot. Now the temperature is near normal they key is fine. I will be mentioning this to Honda when I take my car in for the recall. Thanks again.
