Red face Car wash what?! {Glub Glub}

My car was plastered with mud due to road construction last week so I decided to run it through the touchless wash before washing it by hand. After selecting the wash options the digital sign said to drive forward, so...I did. You may notice that I didn't roll up the window after pushing the wash buttons outside the wash bay.

I forgot that the wash would start the moment the car entered the bay which immediately started blasting water at me. I've never seen the window roll up so slowly. Water was everywhere. Dirty water, at that.

The only fortunate thing is that my phone happened to be in my pocket and not the cupholder by the door. That cupholder can hold some water!

Knowing how easily the gauge cluster scratches I'm thinking of using tape to gradually peal the dirty water marks off.

a soft cloth, microfiber is good. But the dirt might scratch the plastic. I'd probably vacuum with a soft brush first.

The big question is did you come out clean?

Squeeky clean! I couldn't stop laughing after it happened. Such is life.

When I was 4 or 5, my mom was taking her station wagon through the machine wash at the local shell station. For whatever reason I decided to roll down my window a little. Ya, I rolled it down a couple of inches and she immediately screams from all the water that came in. I guess the high pressure sprayers were going because both of us got pretty wet. Lesson learned: high pressure water is great for getting that top layer of dirt off.
