So took my fit through an automatic car wash and it knocked the antenna loose so it leaks water in it now. I am going to fix it... just undecided on the route.

I don't use the radio at all. I have replaced my head unit with a nexus 7 that has a radio tuner but it uses its own small antenna that is in my dash.

So an option is the visual garage antenna (basically a cover) or add some sealant under the antenna to get a better seal.

What I am wondering is if anyone has tried an antenna from something that looks like an 04-05 acura tl Acura TL 04 05 XM Radio Antenna Gray 39150 Sep A01ZF A295 | eBay

My goal is very low profile... if it functions then sweet but not a priority. If anyone has any suggestions on different models I should be looking at I would appreciate all the feedback I can get.

 

Hum... maybe remove the whole thing and pop on some sort of low/flat cover?

 

That would be a good option too... just can't think of anything that would stand up to the elements etc... Which is why I was thinking about a low profile antenna from a different model. I haven't taken the headliner down to see exactly how the current antenna mounts. Figured I crowd source before I got started to hopefully save me a lot of trial and error.

 

The visual garage Shark Fin is a good optiion.
