Has anybody had their Fit doors lock for no reason? Mine is garage kept and I have no reason to lock it but it has been twice now that the Fit is locked when I go retrieve something.

I had the doors programmed to lock when I went into "D" but have just un-programmed them in case that was part of the cause.

(It has about a 7 month old battery)

Thoughts?

 

mine seems to autolock after i move 20-30 feet away from the car. but if it's left in the ignition in off position it stays unlocked.
is it auto locking while it's idle?

 

Did you press unlock earlier? Because even if it's already been unlocked for a long time it'll auto lock if you don't open the doors within 30 seconds. Don't know if you can turn it off

 

That's a feature Honda baked into all of its cars of recent. My dad drives a 2010 Accord, and it does the same auto lock after 30 seconds deal. And like the fit, it can be disabled.
