At 2750-2770 the fiesta is a portly little pig. Not to mention a car over 20k with a twist beam rear. Still a very fun car.

Fiesta - 197hp/2750lbs .071 hp per pound

Focus - 252hp/3250 .077 hp per pound

Close but focus wins.

Stock vs Stock dyno at the wheels:

Without buying an AP and programming in launch control and gear based torque limiting, launching the focus is an exercise in patience and ccontrol. Even the 1-2 shift is not safe, shift too hard and driveline shock blows the wheels away. Still, the 1-2 or even 2-3 chirp is beautiful music. Wrong wheel drive. A stop light race between FiST and FoST is a drivers race in my eyes due to launching concerns. A 3rd gear pull on the highway on the other hand leaves the FiST several car lengths behind.

Too bad Ford quality is not the same as Honda. My ST is already back at the dealer receiving a TSB fix for a wonky idle that randomly stalls when I push the clutch in. Fairly common issue caused by garbage connections on some splices in the wiring harness.

Sweet upgrade! Wouldn't mind having one too...

Also, I thought they came with OEM Xenon HID's?

I got the base model. I didn't find the recaros comfortable for me so that ruled out higher trim levels.

horsepower per pound is a wasted calculation

torque is what gets you moving

I think it was once said something like horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you drag it with you

lol

Yea, peak horsepower and peak torque are not very telling figures. Nothing is as useful as an actual dyno chart and knowing where each gear starts and ends.

Sorry to see you go but never sorry to see you get into a great little car. Enjoy - be safe and definitely come back and check in from time to time.

What? Where you expecting us to yell "treason" or pull the "Bye Felica" card?

Hope you enjoy the new ride! Don't be a stranger.
