How to turn autolock off in a manual transmission
So, I have a 2011 Honda Fit Sport. After reading the owners manual, doing a search on google and the forums I net no reliable info. The owner's manual tells me to put the ignition into 2, put the car in park(which isn't an option for a manual), open the driver door, hold down the lock for 5 seconds until I hear a click, then turn ignition to 0. So I did that. I heard the click, closed the door, turned the car off, turned it back on and drove around the parking lot. As soon as I took off the car's doors autolocked as I drove. So, I tried again, this time instead of pushing down on the lock I pushed up until I heard the click. Still, no avail.
I don't like the idea of the car locking itself without my permission. So, how do I fix this?

I turned off my autolock today in my Fit...I also have a manual. I put the key in, turned it to the second position...door open, press lock button forward, held it down until I heard two clicks..the clicks are not immediately together.
It worked. Thank goodness I discovered the option to override that. That autolock is one of the most annoying features ever...
It took me a couple of tries to get it..the instructions in the owners manual are kind of fuzzy...
