Recently took my 2012 Fit in to the dealer for the airbag recall. When They were done, they told me only the driver side bag was replaced. When I asked why they didn't replace the passenger one also, they said that one wasn't recalled. They said that one might have been made by a different manufacturer. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this same situation.

 

passenger side just recently became a recall and those parts arent available yet.

 

I am taking my '09 to the dealer next Wednesday and they will be replacing both airbags, so there must be some stock of the passenger bags available....

 

dealership told me the older fits passenger airbag has been recalled. the newer fits will have passenger side recalls at a later date. something to do with the degradation of the primer over time and a lack of parts to replace them all.
