“Unsupported” problem!

I got my 2013 Fit in May and have pretty much consistently been able to use the USB port to play sound through the car with my iPhone 6s. Recently, when I plug it in it’ll play for a few min and then “unsupported” will flash on the screen. It still is charging, and if I unplug it and replug it the same thing happens again. So it’s able to recognize the phone but it just keeps losing it.
My routine is to listen to music and have my gps playing through the car so I can easily change songs without looking at my phone etc., so it’s very annoying. Anyone know about this problem and if there’s a fix? I did recently update to iOS 11, I don’t know if that’s related.
Thanks!

I have a 2013 honda fit and my iphone used to play as well. Now I get "No song" message. This was will earlier IOS versions and after updating to the latest IOS version. When I try my girlfriends iphone it works without a problem.

Restarting or resetting your iphone as described in the below link has solved this problem for other Honda Fit owners.
Try a restart first. If no luck, see if a hard reset works.
The link mentions a restart or reset should not normally delete any data or settings. However, suggest backing up your data and settings if you want to make sure nothing is lost.

iOS 11 is causing a lot of connectivity issues. As well as poor battery life.

I finished backing up my data last night and tried what ski has suggested. What I noticed shortly after is that when trying to play my slacker music app it says "No song". I tried my wife's iPhone with the same cable and app and it works perfectly. Im starting to think that the problem is with my phone.
