Won't start

Ive got a 2011 Fit Sport A/T. 13500 miles. It turns over rapidly and won't start. Has half a tank of gas. Newish battery.
When it first happened it started for a moment then died and wouldn't restart. Anyone have any similar issues?

A few common causes are bad crankshaft sensor/ignition module/spark plugs, clogged fuel filter, fuel injectors not operating correctly(no signal from PCM), bad fuel pump relay or fuel pump, plugged catalytic converter, bad gas, PCM or electrical system problem.
Is the CEL on?

My son cranked it over for 45 seconds and it started. Starts and runs normally now. Put a code reader on it and no trouble codes. Now I'm nervous cause I don't know what the problem was. Maybe a stuck open fuel injector?

Sounds like it was probably just flooded.

What was the last thing done when it ran?
Typical scenario is start the engine, move the car around in the driveway 20 feet to let someone out, shut it off. Next time you try to start it, it floods out and won't start.

Hold the gas pedal to the floor while cranking to help clear the excess fuel. This and other tips are probably mentioned in your owners manual

Try to avoid shutting off the engine until it's been run long enough to get warmed up

A no-start problem normally does not resolve itself if a fuel injector is leaking. It's possible water was in the fuel line. You may want to gas up at a different station. Also dump "Dry Gas" in the tank.

The fuel pump may also be dying. A previous car of mine sometimes started normally, and sometimes had to be cranked a few times before it started. One day it failed to start at all. The fuel pump died, and had to be replaced.
