Make sure you plugged the MAP sensor back in?

Anybody else know why i got the p0171 code after the short intake install, i checked it twice, took it out, put the factory air box back in and no more code. I don't understand what's the problem i even cleaned the maf sensor with the rite cleaner. I've done a cai in my honda element and my silverado, no issues

with my prm intake, the maf sensor had to point straight into the tube, and the perpendicular pointing towards the rear of the engine. match the orientation of it to the oem box.

Hi, yea i had the part of the maf sensor with the little opening with the diode facing the filter, and the closed end of the maf facing the tb. My cheap kit don't have the silicone hose that goes into the intake tube and the valve cover, i messaged the guy i bought it from and he didn't respond back, so i was thinking maybe that's why i got a code p0171. I installed the factory air box, and no more code. And the maf is facing the same way in the factory box as i had it in the aluminum tube.
