At least it should be under free replacement warranty. How long have you had the battery tender wires and fuse connected? If it was installed only recently, it might be the cause of the drain. Easy enough to disconnect or just remove the fuse and see if that helps. Hope it is that easy.
I have found that the negative post on the my 51r battery was slightly smaller than the oem one. Tightened all the way, it has no give twisting it clockwise counter clockwise. However, it will come off if u pull it up. Had to shim it so its extra tight.

I installed the NAPA one on 10/17/2018.

I heard this is an issue when switching to the 51R. Also heard that you can buy battery terminal shims to remedy this. Haven’t checked on who might carry these yet.
