Hey all;

I added the EZLip to my GD3:

I can't say much about the durability as it was freshly installed, but it looks great and the install was quick and easy.

Has anyone tried paint matching or duct tape matching one of these to their car?

I guess it's so cheap I might as well just do it lol

I looked at this material at Home Depot today and was expecting a more rigid, solid rubber piece. It's very thin rubber on the outside and foam rubber inside. It just didn't seem very sturdy, like it would probably just blow backwards and not provide much of an air dam type effect at highway speeds. Has anyone found this stuff in a solid rubber version?

I just did some quick research on Amazon and it looks like even the stuff that is sold specifically as a "DIY Lip" is the exact same thing as the garage door weatherstripping. Someone asked about using it on the sides and rear and there's actually a pic of that application here:

Amazon.com: EZ Lip Universal Spoiler and Protector 7.5 Feet: Automotive Amazon.com: EZ Lip Universal Spoiler and Protector 7.5 Feet: Automotive

I do really like the way it looks though, so I think I'm going to go ahead and put some on.

Dustin, Today i found the same thing its really flimsy, but at 9$ I thought I'd give it a go anyways.

I went ahead and installed it a while back using 3M outdoor adhesive tape. I think it really adds to the look of the front. I've found that it also provides some protection for the bottom of the bumper. I've scraped it a few times and it roughed up the rubber material a little (still looks fine though unless you really look at it closely), but protected the painted bottom of the bumper. It's also a little stiffer once you bend it around the contours of the bodywork. All in all I think this is a fantastic bang for the buck mod!
