Fixed leaky roof using DAP 3.0
My wife told me of a leaking rain water dripping from the top of A pillar. Inspection revealed a small gap ( less than 2mm ) where the black rubber on the roof meets with the front windshield gasket(?). To test, I poured some water and the water was flowing into the gap.
I could not find butyl rubber based sealant at a local auto parts store, so I purchased a DAP 3.0 clear caulk from Lowes and applied it to the gap. It leaks no more. The "caulk" is very sticky and after couple days, it dried clear.
I don't know how long this "fix" will last.
Does anyone know of quick fix for such small leak ?
Thanks
