DH is on a business trip with the Fit and called to tell me that the fan is stuck in low, the a/c is not working, and the temp control knob is stuck. He can control where the air is blowing (defrost, feet, etc.) but that is it. Thoughts? We're at just below 60k mileage.

 

Take it in. The temp knob pulls a cable inside so something must be tangled up in it or jamming up the mechanism inside. Maybe its stuck on warm air and its impossible to tell that the ac is on.

If they know anything about cars, its pretty easy just to take a peak behind the glove box to look for any obvious problems.

Empty the glovebox then open it all the way. Squeeze the upper left and right walls inward and pull it further out. It will swing all the way down to reveal the climate control system behind the dash.
