Can't even fit anything under the seats. I didn't realize how tight everything was until I started taking panels out, barely got my carpet panels back on with just my power wire under them. Rest of the wires i had to run under the carpet.
Even a small amp, I see no room anywhere to mount it securely and keep all my cargo room.
At first I thought inside the spare tire with a pull out panel but the cover sits directly on the spare tire so no room for wires. No way I'm mounting anywhere that compromises room or makes it easier for thieves to see through window.

Only place I see is to cut out the rear, passenger panel's shelf and mount inside there, glad my amp is small.

So where do you guys put all your audio gear at?

 

 

mine is mounted on the box itself. x_25 made a mdf cutout to replace the hatch floor and he has it mounted underneath inside the wheel well.

 

That wouldn't be too bad but doesn't the wires touch the tire or is the MDF elevated somehow?

Also where do you guys ground your amps at back there? Would be a pretty long wire to make it to the frame underneath, is there a good spot of low resistance somewhere else? I'm gonna try to measure the resistance in a few spots before I do mine but judging how the car is put together underneath, I'm not holding my breath.

 

There are tie-down spots on each side of the floor. I ground there.

 

i was able 2 mount my boss amp under my drive seat no problem. Its slightly at an angle not directly under the seat.
