None of them are really my taste either but at least there are people who do more than lowering springs, wheels and some tint. No need to quote a whole string of pictures and spread negativity around as well.

But enough of that. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything. I just want to show people what can be done with the ge8. There

Those look like they're off an E30. with thinner, narrower tires dropped, it'll look pretty damn good.

There's very few base fits I like but that's one of them. Too low for me but it's nice & shiny, that means a lot.

Another one I've seen a long time ago was a guy in Canada's red base, last time I saw it it just had the factory steelies, looked good though.

its all straight pipe from the cat, under the rear axle ( instead of over axle for less bends) then 2 2in. pipes cut into a SHARP (like knife sharp) "y pipe" then into the 2 tips u see, i wish i had a sound clip but other ff member have heard my car, i kinda sound like a motorcycle, crotch rocket ducati mix of noises, it never gets squilly and annoying. but it also backfires ( really loud) not playing on this but if i didnt have a cat it would most likely shoot flames, however i did find a loop hole in the cali laws of exhaust so my exhaust IS LEGAL AND WAS APPROVED BY THE CALI HIGHWAY PATROL!!!

first set i had

second set i had ("pointed" more straight up)
they cleared the tail gate by like 2mm....

most recent set V (offest on purpose the out side pipe is lower then the inside) strange thing is when i made these aim away from the car, (reducing the last bend) the back fires no longer were as loud, but its ok i plan on getting tips that slip into these so when i go to meets its over my roof!

I have to ask because im just not familiar with this type of setup but is this purely for you personal preference of looks or does it provide any sort of performance gain at all? Seems a bit silly to be honest and the only car ive ever seen that can remotely pull something like this off was one of those vw dune buggies.

if u could hear it ud kno it was meant to be, but i ran a few types of muffler (glass packer and non- packed- baffle style) and this took alot of low end power away but my mid to top end is explosive, my fit is extremely throttle responsive, and loves the high rpm. but maybe i could just run straight to a tip that doesnt point up... but whats the fun in running a can like every1 else? i can feel the power shift with this exhaust and if it made my fit slower i wouldnt run it, im a man of diy and if a mod doesnt improve my fit i will find a way to do so. function > form, for me and i feel i have "woke up" my fit a little, but i am using an intake i have spent hours refining and designing, i feel it has alot less vacuum but allows the engine to draw in air freely at high rpm. alot of testing has gone into my car, and i feel it is greatly improved over a factory ge8.

fitisbamf - how loud is it without the oem resonator? i run a straight pipe axle back (idk how else to word that) but it's still a bit quiet for my taste but i haven't found anyone who's taken off the resonator also

Java fit, that style of pointing tips upwards (some are straight up, some patterns, stars, etc) is from the bosozoku style in japan. It doesn't increase performance, but him taking the resonator and muffler off definitely probably opened up top end power. I'm curious to hear what the fit sounds like straight pipe after the cat. Any chance of a clip fitisbamf? I've got an fg2 si exhaust and it's nice and deep..but a little more wouldn't be bad as long as it isn't raspy or obnoxious.

its quite a suprise really, i did it not carring about the sound and it turned out great, it doesnt get raspy or obnoxious, at idle it sounds bubbly like a v8 or rotary. but in high rpm i sound like a street bike, i have had street bike who hear me start lookin around like "where is that noise commin from, i dont see another bike"

ill see if i can find a way to format a video, but with out the resonator and running a muffler (i ran a megan racing n1 style) it sounded good but fell on its face in high rpm. so off the muffler came and boso pipes went on, and they are here to stay
