Death Storm 2011...Chicago!
The storm hit mid day yesterday and went all the way through the night and even started back up this morning. In total, we got about 20" total, with winds of 30-60 mph to go along with it once it started getting its groove. I have about a 45 minute drive home, it took me about an hour and 10 minutes and the Fit performed like a champ! Large sections of my ride home takes me through wide open areas w/ nothing on either side of me, so needless to say, the wind was blowing snow all over the place and infact, at some points on the way home from work last night, I was driving in WHITEOUT conditions. I was concerned a couple times as I had no cars coming at me to help me determine where the road was and I slowed down several times but wasn't sure if I had stopped even. I passed a Civic Si that got stuck and yes I must say this too, I had to pass a couple cars that were just going waaaay too slow, but I did it safely and on a part of the road where it was 2 lanes on each side, no passing on a 2 lane, really stupid IMO during these conditions. Once I got home I kept looking looking out the window and the blizzard kept going and going and going. I also must give some props to my tires, the Continental DWS', they never lost traction, even where the wind blown snow would "just appear", they stayed straight and true and I can't imagine NOT having them. They've officially passed every test, first was the handling test out on the Dragon, A+, then I've driven in some good amount of down pours, again, another A+ and now through "Death Storm"....A++
Here's a couple pics I took this morning....bundle up!
Got some pics from the storm, please, feel free to put them up here. "I SURVIVED THE BLIZZARD OF 2011"

I got 7 foot drifts, spent 6 hours and only got my car free. My wife car is buried under 5 foot of snow. I know we got way more than 24 inches. In 99 when was the last storm this big was no big deal, took a few hours.
