Anybody with any general knowledge of deer anatomy wanna take a stab at what we're looking at here? I was driving down the parkway (freeway for you westerners) doing about 70 in the fast lane. It's night time so visibility was fairly limited but not super dark. All of a sudden the entire lane I'm in just turns red, like literally from the barrier to the dotted lines on the other side basically looked painted red. Then I have about two seconds after I finally see the deer to realize I'm not gonna be able to slam on my brakes (and get rear ended) or swerve into the lane to the right (sideswipe that person) so I sucked it up and hit it. Front end bounced up, heard loud disturbing disgusting noises and I pulled over to check it out. Honestly the dent on the bumper looked way worse in the dark and covered with guts and it had popped out on the passenger side...I was really pissed off about the whole thing for the night. I called the police to let them know it was really going to cause an accident and called it a night. Luckily I dont feel anything wrong with the suspension/steering when I drive, so I'm gonna clean it all out and hope for the best. Already got the dent out too..

I don't even know if a deer-ologist would be able to tell you what part of the deer that is. Good you're ok. Rest of it looks fine I'd say. Minor cosmetic damage. You may wanna call crime scene clean up or something tho...

That's not bad at all for a collision with an animal.

I hear Coke is good for cleaning up blood and gore. Wear gloves. Use a pressure washer.

Bumper is mostly fine now...that last pic shows the splash guard all bent out but that's so I could reach my hand in there and pop the dent out. She looks pretty good now. Also yes pressure washer will be my friend. As was the heat gun for popping that out. Ill definatly try the coke idea though.

Damn that sucks but fit looks normal. Ive seen my share of deer and from those photos it just looks like skin and meat. Just be glad you didn't have a lip on or ran over a skunk.

There's a pretty big bone in there too if you look hard enough lol. But yea I have really been considering the JDP lip, thankfully I didn't make that move yet.

your car looks sick, well before the deer thing, i had the exact same thing happe to me about 5 years ago when i was i my CRX, i had a truck beside me and didnt see the deer until i was 100 feet away at 70mph i seriously came off the ground going over it, cleaning it was the worst, i had deer jerky on every arm and bolt from front to back, mostly because i had 400 miles to drive still after hitting it and checking it out at the next reststop, i just decided to drive on and clean up the mess when i got home. no damage to the car whatsoever (i love my hondas)
keep the fit fresh, and put that seat to good use next summer on a track near you, post pics in any SCCA/track thread!

Haha same exact situation with me...I couldn't get it cleaned out right away so that meat was definatly pretty cooked. I'm sure you smelled the same disgusting smells too lol...luckily all of it was mostly in one spot on mine.

As for the seat I was hoping to do some autocross this summer but as usual life got in the way...best believe when I finally do Ill have a ton of pictures and stories that Ill be happy to whore out. Love the CRX also

Just now seeing these replies for some reason... I haven't logged on in far too long. It's been a looonnnngggg cold boring winter. I have to get the camera out again and get some new pics since the weather has FINALLY broken. I haven't done anything too new other than new rubber (Ecsta ASX's once the snow started falling) and recently did the adjustable spoiler mod. Other than that I've just been maintaining it, trying to keep it clean as possible inside, out, top and bottom and fought off the rigors of winter without raising it. It didnt fair too badly and was great fun at times...it's very predictable in the snow.

If anyone has Instagram I do have a few pictures from over the winter and more recently...can't figure out how to post them on here but give me a follow: Instagram

I'll have some good pictures up soon
