I am truuly thankful for this thread. It's given alot of information on which springs I should get to mod my car with.
I'm leaning more over to T1R's but the Pro Kit and DF's are quickly shifting my decision.
I just wish I can decide soon so I can get them..

Okay, so I have a problem. I do not know which spring/ suspension to get! I'm planning to get a HKS exhaust on my GE. And since I live in San Francisco(which has so many hills and stuff), it is hard for me to decide on what kind of spring/suspension should I get. I don't want a big drop or anything. Can anyone help me?

Eibach Pro Kit (1.2/1.4)...there is another listed on the first page with less drop (Tein High Tech, 1/1.2 and RSR .8/1.0)

Any one of these should be fine...

So for the cats that got their car lowered, where did you go? I'm wondering because I'm getting mine done at Les Schwab with the Eibach soon and they're charging pretty high (at least in my case) for the lowering and the purchase of the springs, plus installation and alignment. They said it would be around 400-500 and maybe even 600 'cuz lowering the Fit is a first in their shop.

Is it worth the 600 bones? Or should I eff that and just get it done at a place a little less professional like a parts dealership that provides the service?

I've already given the parts dealership a call and they told me that they charge 80 bucks an hour but with no alignment..their mechanic will "try" his best to align eyeball the alignment of the car..

Or I was thinking of getting the springs installed at the parts dealership for cheaper then just getting an alignment at Les Schwab..

Any tips or suggestions?

dude, why don't you just do it yourself? it's easy and then get it aligned at a real alignment shop for cheap.

Mine was 450.00 out the door, springs, install and alignment at Discount Tire Center. I'd call around to some shops that are familiar with the Fit instead of being reamed for their inexperience. You can get the Pro Kit at the Tire Rack for 202.00 + shipping which Discount Tire matched (and they already had em' in stock).

Start making phone calls...450.00 total was fair to me for being able to make a phone call, show up the next morning and be done with it. 3.5 hours total (2 hrs on the rack and 90 minutes driving).

I would do it myself but I really have no experience in lowering cars and I wouldn't want to mess anything up..

If you're not comfortable with doing it yourself and or don't have an afternoon to spend doing it then don't. Doesn't make you a chicken.

Got 1500+ to blow on coilovers? No? Gonna be hitting the track? Wanna tinker with ride height and damping or just lower your ride for a decent performance gain and appearance change?

Aint nothing wrong with a simple spring change for the average Joe...

I have my springs installed for approx. $500 including the DF210 springs & alignment in a local shop. I say if you're not comfortable with installing it yourself, don't do it. If you mess up, it may end up costing you more.
