GE8 Lowered Thread - Post your pics!!!
thats a fairly big gap...this makes me think it was made for the jdm front end...which is shorter, uses different lights, hood, rad support, rebars......i could keep going
.
It is fiberglass and as far as fitment, it was a catastrophe. I do body work and paint and it took me countless hours. Lots of cutting out, lots of adding, lots of surface smoothing and prep.
My VIS kit didnt come with fog light mounts so I custom glassed mounts. The foglights I have in there are Raybrigs, stock from a 2005 Honda Element. =)
Ive glassed in SS brackets for the mounts so I can use the stock screws and clips to hold it tight.
Charlotte is right. VIS makes this bumper, it 's a replica of the JDM Mugen Front.

So yes, mine is a fake. This is a total DIY project for me and a Daily Driver, so not only does it look legit, it is fully functional and strong. I have tons of in progress pics if anyone wants to see how I did stuff. =)

DocCCVp - props on the work; it looks good on there. I just wish they made a good fitting polyurethane version.

Heck yeah, polyurethane would be awesome. Nicely fitting parts would be great too.. It's frustrating when I see tons of different high quality parts in the Japanese market but here in the US market there is almost no variety and its all cheapo fiberglass knockoffs parts. =/
YEA! helllaaa! lol
thankkss!! noo, no fender rubbing cuz obviously rolled, but the front subframe bolts, plastic underlining and exhaust scrape over dips. no biggie though ahha *sigh*

Yeah, let me know if you have new wheels color.... I'm a little bit confuse about what kind of wheels I wanna buy, I want something that looks very japanese, but I don't like enkei rpf-1, LOL...... Maybe you have some advice for me........
Would you please stop spitting this garbage? You really haven't a clue what you are talking about. J's Racing has been tuning Honda's for racing in Japan longer than VIS has been making knock-off parts.
It's fairly easy on the Fit. Maybe $150 if you go with $75 an hour. It's like a 2 hour job for one guy.
I paid about $80 at my friendly Dodge dealer. Took about an hour. I had reviewed the DIY and was able to point out some of the pitfalls like dropping the axle.
Again please stop!!! The GE Fit was out in Japan a full year before it even surfaced in the US. J's doesn't even make anything for the Barbara nosed Fit as far as body parts go. So, technically they made a knock-off of the Mugen front from Japan. I believe Mugen had a front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts and grill in the US the day the GE went on sale as well.
