Tire rack

I'm interested in getting some:

17/7
offset: +42 or +45
205/45-17

On Stock height!

I have a 2010 Fit sport.

Can anyone clearify for me if I will exerience rubbing if at all and what conditions.

Also, Thoughts on Tire racks 185/55-16 Wheels?

THanks ahead for anyones thoughts, i'm still learning.

You should be alright with the set-up as long has the car is not lowered.

We haven't mounted a 2010 with wheels / tires but 09's have had problems rubbing with 42 mm offset and some with 45mm. Yes. .080 inches does matter; its more than a sixteenth of an inch.
The 205/45x17 tire is a quarter-inch taller and 3/4" wider than stock, and is much heavier so you will experience losses in acceleratuon and mpg too.
If you want to be as sure as possible use 195/40x17 tires instead. And 45 mm offset 17x7.
Good luck.

I've already ordered SWIFT Mach Springs (drop around an inch)

I am planning on Rota Slipstreams in size 16 x 6.5 +45mm offset.

I really want to run 205/50/16. I know some others have had problems with these tires being a bit bigger--although they are only slightly taller than the stock wheel/tire combo.

Any input?
Thanks...

wheels were borrowed from a friend but they r konig retracks 15x7.5 +32 and a 5mm spacer in the rear tires r 205/50/15 an205/55/15 in the rear lowered on dropzone springs about 2.0.F/1.5R

if they were my wheels i would have went with 195/50/15 to fit better when i go lower.. but i didnt get any rubbing with the 205s

Check my thread, just today I got tires 205/50-16 on 16x6.5 +45 and the Honda Modulo sussy drops it 25mm (1") from stock. Neither tire is bulging out from the fenders, even though the fitting book at all the tire shops only listed 185/55-16 with a +48 on a 6" and didn't suggest using a 6.5". I just kept telling all of them, it will fit, the front was my only concern, but it is pretty flush with the fender if not slightly inwards of it. The SWIFT springs give a similar drop so you should be good to go. Eventually when I go more on the sussy, I'll get camber bolts for the front. The rear still has decent spacing from what I can see.

The 205s are very minimally bigger in overall diameter, something like 2mm. Just end up with an improved contact patch. Haven't gotten on it at all with the tires, but I can already feel more bite with the tires. Have to install the J's lower arms and get an alignment, don't really think I need the lower arms yet, probably only really necessary when you start looking at 40+mm of drop to have the roll center equal to or better than stock.

Thanks 555...let me know if you have any rubbing issues at all please...because you are the closest I've gotten to seeing someone with a similar setup.

Hey guys, Im looking at getting new set of rims. However not sure with the fitment. How do you think 4X100 16x7 +36 would go fitment wise???

It will for sure fit, However you will FOR SURE RUB! The forums have discussed this already but look for fitments of +42 offset and higher. I run 17x7 205/40/17 +45 offset..No rubbing. Good luck and hope that helps!

I looked again and it seems like the 16X7 +36 might work. If you look at this website they have the work wheels in this same side and offset?JDMConcept.com.au - Details : 1PC Wheels - Emotion CR Kai [set]

they say that they fit on the GE6,7,8 Honda Jazz/Fit

Anyone know if this is true or just a typo?

Heres my 2cents. +36 will stick out of the fender and with enough weight load..say 3-4 ppl. you will Rub, pot holes and dips..you will rub. There were other options like the +42 and +44 offset. I would aim for those instead of +36. People have dumped a lot of money buying lower offsets and paid a high price. Learn from them as I did. In the end..it is your ride and joy! Do as you please may have to consider getting stiffer suspension to keep it from smashing. That is all Hear others out on this issue so you can solidify you thoughts.

I really don't see how they would fit on a GE without some serious camber going on and/or rolled/pulled fenders. I have 16x6.5 +45 with 205/50 and the front tire is just about flush with the fender, I've got about 2mm maybe. The rear has decent spacing still. Those also sold already at least it says in the thread. They would stick out 20mm more than the stock wheels and that is using the stock tire size of 185/55. Go to a 205 and you are looking at +30mm sticking out from original. So like I said, you would need to get some negative camber going on or get some wide front fenders.
