Best tires for autocross/backroad driving days???
I've got a 2009 Fit Sport M/T. Only mods are short ram intake and extra rear sway bar.
I want to find the best summer tires for autocross/track days as well as some fun back roads on weekends. These will NOT be my daily tires so I do NOT need them to be quiet or super comfortable.
Not wanting to roll fenders or do any suspension or body mods to get crazy wide rubber. However, I do want to find the widest rim+tire combination that will not rub at all when taking hard turns and going over road undulations. Does anyone know if a wider wheel and tire combination work without rubbing on a stock 09 Fit?
Thanks!

If performance is your goal and not so much looks go with a 15x7 wheel with at least a +40 or higher offset. The lighter the better. You won't need to roll fenders if not lowered.
Run a 205/50/r15 tire also.
As for tires, I would check out tirerack.com they list what each tire is meant for and have a good range of autocross/ extreme summer tires.
I personally am looking at the toyo proxes R1R. I know the R888 are a bit better but they are more expensive. Pretty much any tire over $125 should be good. Tires are in some cases more important than the wheel when it comes to autoX.
