Gen 3 Honda fit turbo? Cvt?
Gen 3 Honda fit turbo? Cvt?
I'm aware a turbo on a cvt probably won't last long. Then again, Honda has a few 1.5l turbo cvt don't they? Iirc their new accord or so, and some other car only has 1.5l turbo cvt...
Does anyone know of a part I can get, or do I have to kind of make, or find someone who can build a custom turbo kit to fit in a 2020 cvt?
I do know of one I've seen on this forum, but I don't wish to order over seas at this time. Though they may be legit, I probably will never receive it.

Now, just my personal thoughts and semi-thinking/speculation 'out loud' via text. Its disappointing but not surprising how we honestly didn't get a turbo L series Fit as a performance variant and answer to Ford's Focus and Fiesta STs, MINI's Cooper S, VW's Golf, and so on in the performance compact segment. Granted yes... Some of those cars were pulled from the US market, like the STs, in favor of compact SUVs but they did sell quite well for their time before their market died down due to the CUV increasing in popularity.
A simple parts raid in the Vezel's parts bin (European HR-V) which has the turbocharged L15BY and a 6MT option and adapt it and the chassis accordingly to the GK. The reason being, the RU chassis HR-V/Vezel is a similar platform to the GK and the turbo L series fits quite well in it.
Eh... I wouldn't call it a dream since I've recently learned that a factory turbo GK does exist.
Just not exactly in the format many would expect as it is only sold in India as a diesel. Still... Interesting to see though.

The India market only diesel only comes 6 speed. No turbo CVT.
Awd gk
I know this isn’t the right place for this but, Damn. I’m just mad that a GK AWD exists and no one state side has done this mod or even looked in to it or has one for that matter. Why keep living. Look it up on YT if your curious and wants to be forever frustrated.
Smaller motor. Yuck
So I’m guessing a K swap with that trans is impossible? Or even k swap with the crv transmission that I’ve heard of.
