GK5 HKS Silent Hi-Power Exhaust - fits with CVT??

silent Hi-Power?FIT

It says not for CVT models. I'm assuming that it actually will work but can anyone confirm?

If it will, I'm ordering it.

I went to dealership and looked under both cars (auto and CVT), could not see a difference. I went ahead and took a chance and ordered it, it was a 8-12 week backorder (it's coming from Japan) and I'm 9 weeks in. I will let the forum know how it goes as soon as I get it installed.

I can bet the reason will run your nerves to take it off. It's called DROAN. At highway speed the CVT is in an RPM where the droan is so loud it drowns the cabin. Thats why certain Hondas/Acuras get ANC=Active Noise Cancellation which the FIT doesn't have.

The CVT should be at low revs on the highway.

It will be obnoxious any time you're accelerating.

The droning resonates at its worst at 4000 rpm.

I'm too worried about droan. I use the paddles 98% of the time when I'm driving so my RPMs are rarely stagnant. And on the interstate the CVT keeps the RPMs pretty low. And if I don't like it, I can always sell it.

I ordered it. I'll report back once I get it and get it installed.

Mine will arrive this week. Will report back as soon as i can. I usually drive my car pretty tame. The CVT cruises at about 2500 rpm at 70mph. I rarely see 4000 rpm unless im feeling pretty feisty.

Cvt hks

I just got mine after a two month delay. I love the Fit and finish of it. Louder then I thought it would be then the YouTube vids. Maybe it’s because it’s winter and the sound resonates more.
I have a cvt without paddles and I don’t find that it drones but now when I accelerate I don’t hear the motor whining anymore so it’s either front or back noise. Maybe I should have done the cool style instead. Well like the above poster said if I find it too annoying I can sell it.
